Agniveers Completes Training; Join Ladakh Scouts in Grand Parade

Medals were awarded to the Agniveers during the ceremony

A grand Passing Out Parade was held on Thursday at the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre in Leh, marking the induction of 194 well-trained Agniveer recruits into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment as Agniveer Soldiers. The young Agniveers, hailing from various regions of Ladakh, took part in the parade, are now prepared to serve the nation.

The ceremony was conducted in accordance with the highest traditions of the Indian Army, was reviewed by Major General Gurpal Singh, Yudh Seva Medal (YSM), Sena Medal (SM), General Officer Commanding (GOC) Uniform Force, who attended as the Chief Guest. The event also saw the presence of military and civil dignitaries, as well as the proud parents of the Agniveers.

The Reviewing Officer congratulated the Agniveer Soldiers for their commendable performance in the parade and encouraged them to dedicate their lives to serving the country with pride as soldiers of the Indian Army.

He also extended congratulations to the parents for inspiring their children to join the regiment, and praised the Ladakh Scouts for their excellence, bravery, and significant contributions in every sphere.

He urged the newly inducted soldiers to continue striving for excellence and to take a solemn pledge to defend the sovereignty of the nation under all circumstances, reflecting the true ethos of the Indian Army.

Medals were awarded to the Agniveers during the ceremony for outstanding performance in training period. The Gaurav Padak was also presented to the parents who are either serving or have served in the Army, and whose children have now joined the Regiment as Agniveers. It was a proud moment for the families, many of whom had traveled from remote areas to witness the milestone event.
