Five people died and one was injured after a Mahindra pickup jeep collided with the edge of a bridge near IIT Kamand, close to Katola in Mandi district on 01 June 2025.
According to the Police Control Room, the jeep was carrying tent material. Six people were travelling in the vehicle when the accident occurred.
Police confirmed that two of the deceased were from Punjab and one from Haryana. The lone survivor has been admitted to a hospital.
A police team reached the spot and has begun investigating the cause of the accident.
