In an interesting game Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 42 runs in the IPL Cricket match. Although SRH is out of the Play-offs, they played for pride and were able to disturb RCB going on top of the table.
Stand in Captain for RCB Jitesh Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first. SRH were able to set a massive target of 232, courtesy not out 94 runs off 48 balls from wicket keeper batsman Ishan Kishan.
Openers Abhishek Sharma and Traves Head had given a flying start for SRH with 54 runs in 4 overs, before Lungi Ngidi got the price wicket of Abhishek Sharma. Openers Sharma scored quick fire 34 runs off 17 deliveries (3 fours and 3 sixes).
Ishan Kishan was unstoppable hitting all parts of the park. He scored 94 runs with 7 fours and 5 huge sixes.
For RCB all the bowlers being punished except Romario Shepherd who was having 2/14 runs in 2 overs, but when came to bat couldn’t able to give better performance and got out first ball duck.
RCB started well with confident Virat Kohli and Phill Salt. For the first wicket partnership they added 80 runs in 7 overs before 22 years old Left arm orthodox Harsh Dubey got the price wicket of Kohli. At one stage it seemed as if RCB will chase down the target easily.
Salt was also looking in good nick, dehydrated to medicate in the middle. When he got out to Pat Cummins, wickets tumbled at regular intervals. Salt (62 off 32) remained the top scorer for RCB followed by Virat Kohli who scored 43 runs off 25 balls.
At the 20th over RCB all out for 189 runs. Pat Cummins and Ehshan Malinga were the best bowlers for SRH with figures of 3/28 and 2/37 respectively.
