In view of the international women’s day on 08 March, the Government of India is planning lots of programmes for women inclusivity and empowerment. In a unique and anticipated move C V Anand, Commissioner of Hyderabad Police posted 4 women officers with good track records who have willingness to work as SHOs in Hyderabad city.
Decisions like this will fulfil the lack of women SHOs in Hyderabad City.
The women officers are Jyotsna to Kachiguda Police Station, Chitti to Lake Police Station, Debora to Woman Police Station and Venkatlaxmi to Traffic Police, Nampally. This will encourage other lady officers to take up the tougher and taxing jobs.
This is a remarkable step towards inclusive leadership of women officers.
Appointing four capable women SHOs not only strengthens Hyderabad City Police but also paves the way for more women to take on demanding roles.
The commitment to progressive policing and empowering women officers sets a high benchmark. This decision will inspire many to step forward and serve with dedication not only in Hyderabad but in the whole country.
