President of Barbados Confers Narendra Modi with ‘Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados’ Award

Minister of State, External Affairs Ministry, Government of India, Pabitra Margherita received the ‘Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados’ Award on behalf of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi from the President of Barbados, Dame Sandra Mason at the Government House in Bridgetown.

During the award ceremony Mia Amor Mottley, PM of Barbados, Kerrie Symmonds, Minister of foreign affairs and foreign, Government of Barbados and other dignitaries were also present.

The award was conferred on the PM Modi in acknowledgment of his strategic leadership & significant assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude to the Government and the people of Barbados for the ‘Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados’ Award. Shri Modi has dedicated this honour to the 1.4 billion Indians and to the close relations between India and Barbados.

The Prime Minister posted on X;

“Grateful to the Government and the people of Barbados for this honour.

Dedicate the ‘Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados’ Award to the 1.4 billion Indians and to the close relations between India and Barbados.”
