Indian Army and Assam Rifles formation under SpearCorps launched intelligence-based operations on 14-15 Feb 2025 in coordination with Manipur Police in Churachandpur, Thoubal, Tengnoupal and Imphal East districts of Manipur. During the operation, SpearCorps used drones, explosive detection dogs etc.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of 16 cadres of hill and valley-based groups of Manipur. They recovered nine weapons comprising of automatics, assault rifles, pistols, Single Barrel Rifles, IEDs, grenades, ammunition and war like stores.
The apprehended individuals and the recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
