Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, attended the 10th Ajanta- Ellora International Film Festival (AIFF) held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Addressing the gathering, Secretary Jaju highlighted the vibrant and diverse cultural fabric of India, emphasizing the role of cinema in showcasing the country’s rich storytelling heritage.
He remarked on the growing number of film festivals across India, from the North-East to the South, and from Dharmashala to Maharashtra, showcasing the nation’s love for cinema, music, dance, and drama. “Our history of storytelling, rooted in texts like the Natyashastra, finds a modern expression through cinema. I am delighted to see festivals like AIFF providing a platform for such creativity,” he said.
The 10th AIFF continues to bring global cinema to the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar region of Maharashtra offering a unique experience for film enthusiasts. The festival commenced from 15 January 2025 and will continue till 19 January.
This year’s event promises to captivate audiences with a diverse selection of films from around the world, enriching the cultural landscape of the region.
