The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi met with the President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, on 16 January 2025. PM Modi stated, “We discussed the full range of the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. We talked about futuristic sectors like semiconductors, digitalisation, skilling, connectivity and more”.

We talked about futuristic sectors like semiconductors, digitalisation, skilling, connectivity and more. We also spoke on ways to improve cooperation in industry, infrastructure and culture.”

President of the Republic of Singapore Shanmugaratnam is on a State Visit to India from 14-18 January 2025. During his visit he met President of India Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar discussing strengthening the bilateral ties between India and Singapore.
