The glass bridge, an architectural marvel in Kanyakumari made with an expenditure of Rs 37 crore. The bridge offers an amazing visual experience with its transparent glass surface, providing visitors a unique opportunity to take in the scenic beauty of the sea and surrounding landscape while walking between the monuments.

This is a coincidence that on the same day was the silver jubilee of the unveiling of the Thiruvalluvar statue by former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

The glass bridge is designed with a bowstring arch, blending both durability and elegance. Visitors can enjoy transparent views of the sea below, while walking along the glass. Earlier, tourists take ferry services to travel from the Kanyakumari jetty to the Vivekananda Memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue.

Now the bridge offers a quicker route and enhances the entire journey by offering a more comfortable and scenic experience.

The transparent structure is designed to withstand the harsh marine environment, resisting the corrosive effects of salty air and high humidity levels that are common in coastal regions. The bridge ensures both a durable and magnificent visual experience for the visitors.
