The winter is on its way to enter the final stage. That is the severe cold conditions in the offing in the northern parts of India. Shimla, Dehradun, Massorrie are attracting people because snowfall has already started.

But in Delhi the weather is bit different from today. Delhites are experiencing heavy rain with para dropping down.

So if you have taken leave from the office, then good time to have Ajwain Pakode with hot tea. Getting from the bed late would force you to have hot pakode and tea.

Ajwain Pakode is very tasty and healthy. If you have Ajwain plant in your balcony/kitchen garden then you fluck the freshly Ajwain leaves. Wash the leaves properly, chop it to get it smaller in size.

Take one cup of besan, half a cup of water, cut down one big size of onion, add salt according to the taste. Add the chopped ajwain leaves.

Make a thick paste/batter. Keep it for 10 minutes to absorb the besan to the ajwain leaves properly.

In a kadai fry the batter in oil and your Ajwain Pakode is ready. In between frying the pakode, you can make the tea ready.

Enjoy the rain and cold winter with the pakode and tea.

Ajwain is mainly used to treat digestive issues like bloating, indigestion, and gas. It can also help with bowel pain, colic, and peptic ulcers.

Ajwain is used to treat respiratory problems and coughs. In water putting some ajwain or ajwain leaves, boil it for 5-7 minutes. That water can give a very good result for coughing particularly in winter.

Ajwain contains nutrients like carbohydrates, glucosides, saponins, phenolic compounds, volatile oils, protein, fat, fiber, and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, iron, and nicotinic acid.

It is very good for skin and is also used as an antiseptic. Ajwain used as an ingredient in some mouthwashes and toothpastes.
