PM Modi Greets the Indian Navy on Navy Day

Wishing the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy on the Navy Day, the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi hailed them for their commitment which ensures the safety, security and prosperity of our nation.

PM Modi in a post on X wrote:

“On Navy Day, we salute the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy who protect our seas with unmatched courage and dedication. Their commitment ensures the safety, security and prosperity of our nation. We also take great pride in India’s rich maritime history.”

Every year on 4 December India observes the Navy Day. This day was chosen as on that day in 1971, during Operation Trident, the Indian Navy sank four Pakistani vessels including PNS Khaibar, defeating the Pakistani Navy. To mark the achievements and the role of Indian Navy the day is very significant.
