PM Pays Tribute at Arya Samaj Monument & Meets Set of Popular Cricketers in Guyana

New Delhi || 22-11-2024 The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to the Arya Samaj monument in Georgetown, Guyana.  PM Modi appreciated their efforts and role in preserving the Indian culture in Guyana as commendable. He further remarked that this year was also a very special as we mark the 200th Jayanti of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

He wrote in his post X:

“In Georgetown, Guyana, paid tributes to the Arya Samaj monument. Their role in preserving our culture in Guyana is indeed commendable. This is also a very special year because we are marking the 200th Jayanti of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.”

Prime Minister Modi is on a Visit to Guyana after the Conference of Climate Change COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

PM Narendra Modi also met some popular International Cricketers along with Guyana’s President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali in Georgetown, Guyana. He had an interaction with some old and current West Indies Cricketers Clive Lloyd, Alvin Kallicharran, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Devendra Bishoo, Steven Jacobs, Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, Keemo Paul and Dr. Ranjisinghi Ramroop were among others. He shared it in his X post:

“Connecting over cricket! A delightful interaction with leading cricket players of Guyana. The sport has brought our nations closer and deepened our cultural linkages.”
