India’s capacity of renewable energy has crossed 200 GW in October this year. Solar Energy led the contribution of 90.77 GW followed by Hydro Power 51.99 GW, Wind Power 47.36 GW Bioenergy 11.32 GW.
Energy which is derived from natural resources is Renewable Energy. This energy is replenished at a higher rate. Some of the common renewable energies are solar and wind energy. Apart from these there are other renewable energies such as geothermal energy, hydropower, ocean energy and bioenergy.
On the other hand Non-renewable energy is which takes millions of years to form such as fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.
The remarkable growth of India in the Renewable energy sector aligns with the country’s ambitious renewable energy target of achieving 500 GW from non-fossil sources by 2030.
