Addressing the gathering, the Speaker said that education is the basis of nation building, which empowers the individual with the knowledge, skills and values ​​necessary for his own and society’s progress. Emphasizing on the collective commitment to protect democracy, Speaker Birla said that whenever attempts have been made to weaken democratic principles, People have raised their voice strongly against such challenges. This commitment is evident in every election and movement, ensuring that democracy remains vibrant and eternal even in adverse circumstances.

Discussing the economic scenario of the country, Om Birla said that due to the rule of law in India, foreign investment is increasing here. Elaborating on this, he said that the stability and predictability of India’s legal framework has increased investor confidence.

 He further said that India’s importance is increasing in the world and with a well- established judiciary and transparent regulatory processes, India assures investors of fairness and credibility and creates an environment where businesses can flourish. Noting the growing importance of India at the global level, Lok Sabha Speaker threw light on the ancient Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. He said that the whole world is one family – this sentiment is important to achieve the goal of global peace and stability beyond cultural and national boundaries. Shri Birla said that by adopting this spirit of unity and cooperation, countries can collectively solve global challenges and pave the way for harmony and prosperity for all humanity.

Speaker Birla said that public policy should understand the diverse needs of our community and try to take everyone along. Talking about this in detail, he said that when policies are made keeping in mind the views and experiences of all individuals, So they foster a sense of belonging and encourage active participation in the democratic process.
