Hyundai Motor’s Executive Chair Euisun Chung meets the Prime Minister Narendra Modi

New Delhi || 25-10-2024 The Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair,  Euisun Chung met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 Oct 2024. PM Modi remarked that Maharashtra is India’s economic powerhouse and big investments such as Hyundai Group will greatly benefit the people of the state.

Responding to a post by Hyundai India handle on X, he wrote:

“Happy to have met Mr. Euisun Chung a few days ago. India is indeed the ideal place to invest in. I am also glad to see Hyundai’s enthusiasm towards the plant in Pune. Maharashtra is India’s economic powerhouse and big investments like this will greatly benefit the people of the state.”

 

On Tuesday 22 Oct 2024, Hyundai Motors announced to expand the capacity at Talegaon  manufacturing facility at Pune with an investment of Rs 6000 Cr for growth in domestic and international market.

Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor India  post-listing Media interaction said “Our current capacity is 8.24-lakh units per annum With the acquisition of the Talegaon plant, 2,50,000 units will be added to our capacity, which will come in two phases — 1.70 lakh units next year and 80,000 units by 2028. So, this is basically almost a 30 per cent capacity addition. So, we believe that it will give us more headroom both in domestic as well as an export market.”
